LDAP Proxy Released

miniorange has just come out with the first version of its LDAP Proxy! It resides in the "Demilitarised Zone (DMZ)" between a cloud-based application and an internal LDAP, and is responsible for forwarding LDAP requests from the application to the on-premise server. This allows the application to access the proxy for LDAP integration, whilst the internal directory remains unexposed within the network, creating an overall higher level of security.

miniorange hackathon launchpad

This event focuses on tackling problems that remain pervasive in the fields of Cybersecurity and various other Educational and Medical services.

Here candidates will have to register and present their ideas, and based on this they will be shortlisted. The selected candidates will get a chance to build a prototype of their product over a period of 3 to 6 months. Once the prototype is ready, they will need to demonstrate it’s working and will be judged on this basis, as well as other predefined measurements.

The idea behind CodeFiesta is to try and come up with products that will help resolve day-to-day issues faced in areas like Network Security and Remote work.

In this event, candidates will have 48 hours to build a blueprint of their idea. Shortlisted candidates will get a chance to put their idea into practice and develop a prototype. They will then be judged on the basis of this prototype and other predefined measurements. The winners will receive funding and resources to move ahead and build a full fledged product.
